The Future of Creativity

I am interested in how the future of creativity, including creative work and education, is impacted by globalisation and artificial intelligence.

My earlier research in 2023 with Collier Nogues explored how creative writing (fiction and poetry) and notions of authorship, originality, and creativity are deeply unsettled by generative artificial intelligence. The work was published in the journal Poetics titled “Beyond the Author: Beyond the author: Artificial intelligence, creative writing and intellectual emancipation.”

Our latest work, together with Cindy Liang and Alice Wong, looks into the perceptions and integration of generative AI by creative professionals across visual and design arts, writing and literature, performing arts, and environmental and spatial design.
