Teacher Professional Development

I am passionate about designing and delivering programmes that enhance the teaching practices of staff at our university, ensuring students have an incredible learning experience.

Some of the teacher professional development programmes I have developed are:

Foundations of teaching and learning for tutors: A one-day introductory practical skills workshop for small-classroom teachers (in collaboration with Michelle Raquel, Miranda Legg, and Simon Boynton)

Improvisation through design thinking: A series of modularised workshops applying the tenets of improvisation through a design thinking framework to cultivate teachers’ adaptability, creativity, and provide a broad skillset around playing with structure, leading conversations, experimentation and failure, and empowering student participation (in collaboration with Tanya Kempston)

Facilitation skills for interdisciplinary teachers: Workshop series to develop teachers’ facilitation skills, including questioning, leading/pacing, and effective delivery skills.

Driving Teaching and Learning through Tech/ Artificial Intelligence: Short workshops on how to use digital technology in classroom contexts.
